JMC President Jay Morris has over 30 years of experience in Washington, working on a host of key federal issues, including tax reform, financial services deregulation, small business issues and healthcare reform.

In the 1980s, Morris edited the National Restaurant Association’s Washington Weekly newsletter. He also wrote congressional testimony, developed issue papers and interviewed top elected officials for the association’s magazine.

On the HillIn the 1990s, while at the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Morris created lobbying resources for NAIFA’s 1,000 state and local affiliates, including briefing papers, op-eds and speeches. He also helped build one of the largest grassroots programs in the insurance industry.

In the 2000s, he led the marketing and communications team at the National Association of Federal Credit Unions. As senior vice president, he provided strategic communications guidance to NAFCU’s CEO and board, including issues management, policy analysis and press relations.
