The Magic of Great BrandingCredit unions are learning a thing or two from great brands like Starbucks, Zappos and Southwest, according to “The Magic of Great Branding,” an article by Jay Morris that appears on the cover of the latest issue of The Federal Credit Union magazine.

JMC explains smart cards in TFCU article

EMV thumbnailAmericans may soon be carrying “smart” or EMV cards in their wallets, according to “Get Smart: 7 things you need to know about EMV,” an article by Jay Morris that appears in the latest issue of The Federal Credit Union magazine. The new credit cards have a computer chip embedded in them that takes the place of the magnetic stripe that has been in use for decades.

The EMV chip (named for Europay, MasterCard and Visa, the three big card networks that are pushing for adoption of the new standard) brings with it the added benefits of greater fraud protection, including the use of cryptography. [Read more…]

Morris looks into the future for CU magazine

The May-June 2012 issue of The Federal Credit Union magazine features the work of JMC’s Jay Morris.

Morris peers 10 years into the future to give credit union executives and volunteers a peek at what their world may look like in the year 2022.

Citing experts and industry leaders, Morris predicts that smart phones will be ubiquitous and have a huge impact on credit union services and member expectations.
